Remesh only a section of model?

I'm very new to Forger and 3d modeling entirely. I seem to be catching on well and am already nearing completion of my first model. However, there is one thing that I'm not understanding.

Is it possible to remesh only a portion of an object? Here is my situation, I have the body of my figure and I also have the head of my figure, both of which I have already combined into one object because I created them from 2 different objects. I want to smooth out the connection between them so that they look to be one object rather than 2. Remeshing would solve this problem, but I don't want to remesh everything, mainly because I will lose the creases of the eyes that I have. I think ideally I would have done this before combining everything, but I can't go back now. Does anyone have an idea of what I might need to do to solve this?

Sorry if this sounds like a bunch of gibberish. Any help is greatly appreciated!

DillionLasiter Once you’ve combined everything, remeshing will be universal. In order to save your details, try remeshing at a higher level.

When sculpting, it’s best to keep as low of a mesh as possible and progressively take steps to higher levels. This way, at the end, you can combine, remesh, etc. at a higher level and keep your details.

I typically try not to go above 100 (if I can) until I’m getting ready for finalizing. This way, I can still go all the way to 264 if needed to keep details.

What would happen if I went to print without remeshing. I don’t want to pay to use an expensive 3 D printer and it come out all crazy because there are creases almost invisible to the naked eye that I didn’t remesh. I’m in the same boat not wanting to remesh and loose detail.

Hi Miccoxvx!

Please note that the maximum remeshing resolution was doubled in the app since the above posts were written making it more difficult to lose detail.

Having said that there isn't anything forcing you to remesh before printing, if the printing software happily accepts the file it should be ok to print?

In the past when printing files I've only had to reduce them because the printing softwares didn't import them or crashed as they were too detailed, that may not be the case anymore.
